We were blessed again this year with the sun for Active Schools Week. All children began the week with Walk a Mile with a Smile on Monday. Our walk took us through the lovely knitting in the park and down around by the playground where we even got a chance to have a play. On Tuesday, the obstacles course was set up in the hall where we meandered our way through the course. We Dropped Everything and Danced on Wednesday. The highlight on Thursday was Sports Day. We set off for the Patrician pitch and had activities like the sack race, egg and spoon race, tug-o-war, penalty shoot out, skipping ropes, hula hoops, relay races, beanbags and the parachute. On Friday, we celebrated the Parents Associations Fun Day. We couldn’t believe our luck when the ice pops arrived to cool us down after the hot day. The celebrations didn’t end until the following Monday. We were so lucky when Brenda from Stage Academy came in and taught us all some new dance moves. The best week ever!!
