Maths Week
Maths week took place in school from Monday 14th October to Friday 18th October. We organised different maths activities during the week.First classes played maths/board games with some 5th class students. Junior and Senior Infant classes played some Ready Set Go maths games in the Science Room. First Classes also logged some of our actions for maths week as part of our STEM plaque/ certificate.Classes also had the opportunity to take part in maths trails, use maths in art, music and in PE lessons.We also sent home a parents information sheet from the NCCA with some helpful ideas on how parents can help their child at home in maths.Room 3 performed a fabulous Maths assembly for us on Friday morning. Thanks to all involved.To finish off Maths Week, we really enjoyed our maths dress up day on Friday. We saw lots of shapes, numbers and patterns on our clothes in school.
